On September 4th, a consignment of seafood from Guangdong was transported by air express, soaring over 5,000 km to arrive that same day at the seafood tanks in Kashgar.

Baijiao Sea Bass arrived in Kashgar alive the same day.

Guangdong's marine economy has ranked first in China for 30 consecutive years. In 2024, its marine aquaculture output reached 3.7683 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.47%, recording the fastest growth since 2011. Among that, marine fish farming output reached 975,400 tons, accounting for nearly half of the national total. Behind these figures are the flagship products from various regions, such as Zhuhai's Baijiao Sea Bass, Huizhou's golden mi-iuy croakers, Yangjiang's oysters, Zhanjiang's prawns, and Chaozhou's kanpachi.

As one of the first "ambassadors" to Xinjiang, Baijiao Sea Bass is a flagship product of modern marine ranches in Guangdong. Hailing from Baijiao Town, Doumen District, Zhuhai, a river estuary, the juveniles are initially reared in fresh water and then transferred to open marine areas for grow-out. The Baijiao Sea Bass, having been exposed to the seawater, develops firmer, fresher, and more flavorful flesh.

广东海鲜“当日达”鲜活到新疆

9月4日，一批广东的海鲜搭乘航空快线，飞过5000多公里，当天就到了喀什的海鲜池里。

广东海洋经济已连续30年位列全国第一。2024年，广东海水养殖产量376.83万吨、同比增长5.47%，增速创2011年以来新高，其中海水鱼养殖产量达97.54万吨，占全国产量近一半。这份数据的背后，藏着的正是各地海鲜的明星单品：珠海白蕉海鲈、惠州金鮸鱼、阳江生蚝、湛江对虾、潮州章红鱼……

作为首批前往新疆的“大使”，白蕉海鲈是广东现代化海洋牧场的明星水产品。它的出生地珠海市斗门区白蕉镇位于出海口，当地将淡水培育的海鲈幼苗接力到开放海域继续养殖，经海水咸化后的白蕉海鲈肉质、口感更鲜、更好。
